I'm new at asking for a pen pal myself but have been writing to several inmates myself for years now. I am getting ready to begin an 18 month sentence for assault on a postal worker. I'm not sure how much info about the crime I am allowed to post on here but if the mods want to remove it they can. I made a mistake which I am paying for but am not ashamed of anything I have done. Basically a US postal worker maced my 3 month old Beagle/Dachsund puppy while it laid on it's back playing. When I verbally confront the worker I was told they were allowed to mace any animal they wanted to. After a few more seconds of me screaming at them and calling them every name in the book they then proceed to raise the mace can toward me and try to spray me in the face. In the struggle to get the can of mace away from the postal worker I punched them 2 times which resulted in this charge and this case against me. Even though I had several neighbors and people in the community back me saying this worker was know for macing dogs chained up behind fences and even through closed screen doors I was still found guilty of assault and charged with 18 months. Since I initiated the confrontation I guess they had the "right" to mace me (according to the post office and courts they pretty much have the right to do whatever they see fit). Now for a little back story on myself. I am a single divorced dad with full custody of my 11 year old daughter. I run the Indiana Paranormal Society which is a local ghost hunting group based out of the Mishawaka/South Bend area. We have about 30-40 members and do monthly meetings and ghost hunts as well as travel around the country investigating suspected haunted locations. This is my 1st brush with the law and hopefully it will be my last. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and just talking. Like I said before I have been writing inmates for several years and really enjoy talking to them. Everyone I write to is never judged or "talked down to" by me because of their crimes everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves a second chance. I have written to several "high profile" inmates so of them who are very famous (write me for the list). Before this charge I was a mill worker at a local manifold company and was taking care of my daughter and our new puppy. I also had a very successful ebay business buying and selling items online. I currently lost my apartment because of this sentence and have moved both myself and my daughter and dog back to my fathers house and he's watching them both while I am in prison. I am currently not in a relationship nor am I looking for anything serious at all at this time. Just wanting someone I can talk to and get to know. I don't need money or anything other than letters to get me by while in prison. I have plenty of money saved up for anything I will need while inside.
