A Prison Pen Pal provides a connection to the outside world that many inmates lack while in prison. Writing and communicating as a pen pal with prisoners not only helps relieve them of the lonliness and boredom of prison life but it also helps encourage them to grow and potentially emerge from prison with friends, companions, and goals.
